Erika brings ten years of experience working in the television industry. Three of those years she was a meteorologist in San Francisco (TV market #6) at KRON 4 News. She also did some traffic reporting. More recently, Erika was seen on-air forecasting at KTNV ABC 13 in Las Vegas.
Prior to working at KRON, Erika was a weather anchor for a CBS affiliate TV station in Arizona. She was also the evening news anchor for KIEM-TV, one of California’s NBC affiliate TV stations. Aside from weather and news anchoring, Erika has done reporting, producing, web, social media, and assignment desk jobs throughout her career. She’s also appeared on shows that aired on MCTV and EATV.
In 2014, Erika worked at ABC 7 Bay Area where she produced some episodes of Beyond the Headlines with Cheryl Jennings. Episodes she produced included awareness of human trafficking, alcoholism, and Alzheimer’s disease. Erika has a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University. She’s also studied at other universities to receive additional certifications. While she was in college, she interned at ABS-CBN’s The Filipino Channel.
